1979 Z-28 project
I guess I'll post my project. I have a 1979 Z-28 that is factory Bright Blue metallic. I have had it since 1982. It now has a GM crate 290hp 350 and a turbo 350 tranny. I have a IROC front spoiler and frame connectors and a Hurst Dual/Gate shifter. (i used to work in a speed shop) It is still my daily driver and go to the race track car. I am in the process of doing restoration work on it. I have just gotten a steel cowl induction hood for it but haven't installed it yet. I would like to have the whole car repainted this year and I will start on the interior after that. I read what you other guys go through with your cars and it's an interesting read. I will post pictures soon and I hope to build a Z-28 that makes all of us Camaro owners proud.

Starting image
I guess I should start this with a picture of my project. This is my Z-28. I have had it since 1982. Since it is cold here right now I'm not doing much to it at this time. I will have a cowl induction hood on it soon.

1979 Z28 project update
I mounted a steel cowl induction hood today. I had it painted black because it was cheaper then getting it colored and I'm going to have the whole car painted this summer anyway. I plan on making the induction fully functional when the weather warms up here.

Aww come on. The wheels are light and cheap. It will let me spend money on something else right now, like paint. Nice 78 z-28 by the way.

Spoiler
The front spoiler is an A&A product but it is rubber, not fiberglass.

I had a full set of door hinges installed this week. They should last the rest of the life of the car (or me). I knew better than to try to install these myself. Like Clint Eastwood said in "Magnum Force" "A man's got to know his limitations."

Got the airshocks off the Camaro. I had the rear springs and shocks replaced and lenghtened the rear shackles by two inches to bring the rear up a bit. When I drop the front an inch, it should sit how I would like it too.
