And so it begins....finally

Wanted to share my project with you all. A little back ground first. I bought this car when I was 15. It was a poop brown with a buick v6 and crappy 3 speed auto. I rebuilt and installed the 355 at age 16 (received a wreckless driving ticket for doing burnouts in my works parking lot shortly after). Then in went a TH350 with a shift kit. Right before I graduated, I took the car down to bare metal and resprayed it black. I went to school in Chicago, then in Jacksonville, Florida and the car came with me as my toy. In 2002, I decided having fun was much more important than anything else, and I moved back to Illinois and parked the car at my dad's house. I finally grew up, have a family of my own now, and have a garage to work on it. I plan to make everything pretty much new again, do an ls swap, and some suspension mods over the next few years.
Here's what I started with.

I haven't made too much progress, but I'm loving every minute of it. Just as my dad worked on it with me, my oldest son has been throwing in a helping hand.

And this is where I am at currently. If the wife gets back soon enough this evening, I may make a little more progress.

Hope you enjoy. On another note, if any one is looking for a 350/350 combo, or miscellaneous late 2nd gen parts, shoot me a pm.

That's great that you are working on it with your son, building some fantastic memories for the two of you and hopefully a life-long love of 2nd gen Camaros in your son!

Thanks for all the encouragement! We removed the majority of the interior tonight. Found some rust in the floor boards. So far, this is the worst of it.

The passenger toe board looks pretty good, not 100% sure on the drivers side yet.

Has anyone used the mig welders from Eastwood. I need to get a welder to fix this, and am on a budget. They seemed like a good deal.

Thanks for looking!

That area was rotted on mine. Not that large but my patch I made was. Not a bad fix if you can bend and cut a little metal.
