camaro chassis
Ok guys I can find it in any of my newer mags but I could swear that a while back I saw a complete chassis for our camaro's. A whole chassis with suspension, brakes and everything on it already. But now I can't find it anywhere. Just wondering if I'm losing my mind or just misread the article. any help would be greatly aprreciated

My guess would be that you saw someones seperate kits that went together to be a whole new chassis which would be a new subframe up front, connectors, and a 4-link kit for the rear. There are several companys out there making these parts and more showing up everyday for our cars. There was a thread not to long ago about some of the companys I believe it was titled g-force or something like that!

In the December '07 issue of Super Chevy there's a feature on all the available aftermarket frames and clips along with other suspension peices. The only full frame kit was for 1st gen Camaros by Art Morrison. This article isn't on their website yet.
In the article there's a lot of mention of new aftermarket subframes and rear clips that are currently available and will be available in the near future for 2nd gens.  |

There is a company called fatman fabrications that had a complete front end like you are describing.

Very cool indeed but I assume you cut the factory rails out and then weld the unibody back to this frame in the rear?

Matt,
I would hope that it attaches the rear body to the frame with body bushings just like the front subframe does on our cars. Man, it would be great to have a full chassis under there....lots of potential once that was done. But did I read it right?...$14K for that.
