LT4 Hot Cam kit? 218/228, .525/.525 assuming you use 1.6 rockers.

EDIT- I think they use this cam in the ZZ430, when they were making them.

I'd be careful... stock LT1 heads might not play well with that much lift. They can handle around .500 typically, but .525 is definitely pushing it.

There are lots of LT1 guys using that cam. Mind you, I have no idea what they've done with their heads. It's always prudent to check ANY factory head when pushing much beyond stock lift.

With 1.5 rockers, you can figure .492 lift, and 2° or so off the duration. Still a good bump from stock.

If you use the LT1 hot can you have to swap out the sripngs for the extra lift.

Nothing needs to be done with the heads, as far as valve guides, etc?

The LT4 hot cam really likes ported cast iron heads. Not sure about the aluminum heads.

The aluminum head don't flow as well, stock for stock, as the cast iron LT1 heads. The LT4 aluminum heads were 195cc heads though, and flowed considerably better than both iron and aluminum LT1 heads. The cam was designed for use with large-port heads like the LT4s.
