Parking Lights and Instrument Cluster Problems

Im working on an 1980 z28 and I finished wiring everything and everything works like it should except for the parking lights and instrument cluster lights. When I turn on the headlights they come on but my parking lights dont and neither does the gauge cluster. what could be some causes of this? How do the parking lights work? Does anyone have a pic of how the headlight switch is wired
