Bead Roller
Does anyone have this bead roller set up from Eastwood? I know it's kind of low-end, but would it do the job for small patch panels? Any input from anyone that has used it would be really appreciated.

I have one from Harbor Freight that looks identically (also "low-end"); mine worked great for making toe panels.

I guess I will get the one from HF, the one from eastwood is cheaper, but by the time you add the $47 shipping it comes out to about the same as the HF with tax...and I can just pick it up at my local store rather than wait

I keep reading how all the Chinese (HF/NT/woodward, etc) bead rollers need to be re-inforced with steel tubing to keep them from flexing. It seems like there is no "middle ground", you either buy the cheap (under 200) ones and have to modify them, or have to step up to the 800+ models.....isn't there something in between?

I have done all the metal work (as far as patch panels) on my Camaro, but I have ANOTHER project in the wings (60 Chrysler Imperial) that will need a trunk floor, since there are no aftermarket floor pans for that car, I will be forced to make my own. So, in reality, I don't have THAT much to do with it, so the HF one may just be exactly what I need.

i will keep an eye on ebay then! I was almost tempted to drop 300 (500 with stand and extra mandrels) for one from TP tools, US made and I would HOPE better quality...but it doesn't make sense to drop that kind of coin on something I will use only once!

$25 shipping, that's not bad for such a heavy item!
