70&1/2
[b]I talked to a guy that was trying to sell a new dodge 1500 quad cab short bed, because I had mine in for servicing. a new ploy to get you to buy a new truck. He said he wants to buy my truck, before it starts to nickel and dime me to death(he must have looked up the mileage). He asked what I did for a living? And I came back with restoring my 71RS camaro he asked if it had split bumpers, I said yes it does and he said Oh it must be a 70&1/2! I told he that there is no such thing as a 70&1/2. He said his brother had A 70&1/2split bumper Z28, I told him to go to nastyZ28.com he said just because some web site says so, doen't make it so! And besides he saw one on Barret Jackson that they said was a 70&1/2 Z28 with split bumpers. Some how the split bumper got morphed into a 70&1/2 I explained the RS trim package and that 70 Z's did come with a full bumper unless you ordered the RS option. I told him I would bet that new truck he wa trying to sell me. He said that he couldn't bet the owners cars------ so with some yeah yeah we hung up. buy the way nickel & dime thing does not addup to $350.00 a month for 48 months

Due to production delays the 1970 Camaro was introduced in February 1970, half way into the production year. Because of this, some people will call the 1970 Camaro a 1970 1/2, but officially the car is a 1970 model year Camaro.

... are you sure?
'cause I had some guy tell me the split bumper was only available in the 70 1/2. That's where the half comes from. ROFLMAO

people want to be the " informed one " and don't back down . show him my ultra rare 73 - 70 3/4 camaro its not the fact that they don't know , it's the fact that they wouldn't accept the truth .

what happens if it didn't have split bumpers?
what happens when you don't have all the options or trim packages, Does it go the other way? Is it really a 1969 camaro? Bob71RS. Did 1970 really exist or maybe it was all a weird dream, the seventys was pretty foggy. for a lot of people. and where does the leep year fit in?
