Who can you recommend (auto body/restoration) to pull the doghouse, suspension, front subframe and paint/powder coat the subframe and put it back together?

Mike,

I used Scotty's (Scott Hardy) shop in Broomfield for my roof swap. They do nice work. Address is 14801 Huron Street, Broomfield, CO 80020. 720-270-3612. A little south of Fort Collins but thought I'd throw it out there.

Brad at Automotive Pastimes is a great guy and does nice work, he's in Loveland, about 20 minutes south of Fort Collins. I've bought parts from him and he's done a few second gens and owns a '78 Trans Am himself. His number is 970-690-5257. If you haven't found anyone, give him a call and tell him Brennen (the guy who just sold him some wheels) sent you!

Mike, good luck with the body & paint! What's the colors you are going for? Post up some pics as she goes along.

I'm hoping to get the old "green dragon" prettied up this year as well.

The engine is in worse shape than we thought. Either a rebuild is coming w/original block and new heads or a complete crate engine will be dropped in.

What a beautiful Z28, Mike!
My measly Camaro is set to terrorize Hwy 14 to work and back tomorrow.
Then it'll be back in the garage over the weekend.
Perhaps more trips to, and from, when the weather becomes more "Camaro-friendly".
It'll be fun to keep 350+ Hp under control on the street again.
WHEEEEEEE!!!

Thanks for the "Good lookin car". And as far as the "fan" part, Yeah, definitely not me. But I do like his Pepsi commercials...

The Camaro was a BLAST to drive to work today, after sitting for so long,...wasn't tuned very well at all for the cold, but it sure was a short distance between zero and 100, anyway!
It got the carb tweek when we got home tonight, and it's quite happy again.
The car sure captured a lot of eyeballing from on coming drivers today,...and I parked in a particularly obvious spot at Harmony Campus today to show it off.
Ya don't see too many 2ond GEN on the road, and I figure we've gotta make ourselves known when we can. Just to remind folks.
Again,...that's a beautiful Z28, Mike!!
Todd.

Yo! BAmes79!
We're close to one another. When the weather is better, we need to visit, with our cars.
Todd.

Quick carb tune and then had the Camaro out on Sunday, screaming about. Sure was fun!
Nice weather over the weekend, for a change! I even got sunburnt working with the John Deere 420 in the pastures Saturday and Sunday.
How about that fast moving blizzard-like storm that moved through today! Then sun this afternoon, and cold. March in Colorado,...it's working our way toward spring, though.

And I'll bet it was a blast driving it in the great weather!
I've even had FRANKENTRUCK out a number of times so far, blazing around. It's fun too, with the same engine as I built for my Camaro, and 4.11:1 gears. Three tons that MOVES FAST and looks good too!
Everything is more fun in good weather. And it'll be back quickly after our short return to winter-like weather.
Snow pack is phenomenal this year (as you well know),...finally.
Todd.
