So you're saying the seats are too wide or the brackets were too wide for the 4th gen swap?

seats are fine, stock 4th gen brackets won't fit floor pan. In my case they are the same spacing from side to side (13.5") but to use the stock 2nd gen tracks on the seats I'm going to have to do something with the holes on the tracks that mount them to the seat itself

The stock holes on the tracks to mount to the seats are like 14.5" apart front to back.....the stock holes on the 2nd gen tracks front to back to mount to the stock 2nd gen seat are like 14" apart...so I will need to enlarge the holes in the stock 2nd gen tracks and add some metal or move the holes in the seat base to match the 2nd gen tracks

It will work....but the 2nd gen tracks will not fit a 4th gen seat without some modifications somewhere.

4th gen tracks will not work at all....the bases are different

I'm still making speaker kick panels, just closing on a new home due to close 5/01/2013. I have a few sets ready to ship so feel free to ask me about that.

Read my post.

I didn't modify the brackets, I modified my mounting points.
New boltss were welded into my car from under the cabin.

It's easier then trying to monkey around with the brackets.

Thanks for the reply I'm trying to avoid modding the floor if I can. But I guess that's last resort
