I have and have had first hand experience with it. Use a temp gun and check the reading. All I'm saying is that loction reads 10-15 higher. I've tested it on a dyno and with a temp gun.
If you are saying it's not much hotter than the drivers side front, then I'll agree, but still is. I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that if you want a more accurate reading tap into a rad hose. My fan ECM reads off the water neck.
A lot of people run it off the rear head and wonder why their guage is reading so hot.
