All I can tell you is to come up with an asking price, and throw it out there to see what happens. You are going to get all kinds of numbers from different people, so ask what you feel the car is worth. If you can sell it for more than you paid, you are ahead in the game......If not, maybe you paid too much for it to begin with...

Definitely not a tight-mesh SS grille. No SS steering wheel. But, it has a sway bar.

Hmmmm.....

F 41 suspension was a 1970 option
350's with AC got 12 bolts
Tach and gauges were an option
SS has 350 4v 300hp or 396
hidden wipers
style trim group
hood insulation
power brakes
SS badges
black grille

how about posting a picture of the build sheet and the data plate on the cowl i cant believe that someone would buy a high performance ss with a 12 bolt and leave the ss options off, i dont even see the mounting holes for the badges and every thing ive seen that was required from gm

Hello well to answer your questions the reason the front grill does not have the ss emblem is because someone took it off there is a broken piece on the top middle grill also the picture shows the left side fender no ss emblem only 350 emblem but the right side does have the ss emblem and the 350 emblem too just did not take a picture of the right side.Like i said i have the build sheet it was cover in dirt and oil really hard to see anything but you can clearly see z27 super sport and vin# to..If anyone is interested in buying this camaro i wouldnt have any problem proving this is a real ss camaro because the build sheet says its a super sport

The reason its not a ss steering wheel its because they did not have a ss steering wheel for 1970 camaro they had them for 1971 -1973..

1970 Steering Wheel has a different shroud than the 1971 Shown in above picture. SS Car would have SS in center of shrouid, unless R/S SS in which case it would have RS in the center of Woodgrain Shroud. Note Regular SS could also have woodgrain horn shroud and woodgrain dash if Z-23 Interior accent group was ordered.
iateitdog70ss needs to show the trim tag and show the 197???? Vin tag and stop all this what year is it nonsense

I have a 1970 Camaro SS horn button. Its the same basic shape as the one picture but is thin hard plastic with SS in the middle.
The one shown is a 71-ish padded hoen button.

my understanding for the 1970 year is that whenever the SS option was combined with the RS option, the SS emblems were used and the RS emblems were deleted (steering wheel, fenders). there was no SS grille emblem if you had an RS front end.

my SS/RS has a woodgrain horn shroud with a small SS emblem in the center.

That was my understanding as well. My 1970 396 I had when I was a teen had the SS steering wheel (it was not an RS, FYI). It also had idiot lights and the large gas gauge, no tach....

From looking at the pictures, I would venture to guess that at least part of the front end has been replaced, and perhaps a 72 or 73 grille was used, not paying attention to SS details.

But then again, that does not explain the lack of the SS steering wheel, nor was I there, so it's just a guess.

Iateitdog70ss,

Can you post a pic of the build sheet? I have never heard of anyone finding one on a 70 SS and would love to see it.
