Ever taken something apart and when you put it back together you have leftover bolts? I bought a 98 Z28 that had a broken rod in it a couple of months ago. I dropped the motor and transmission out, put a short block in it with a Z06 cam and new oil pump, had the 4L60E rebuilt, and put it back together. I got it started and drove it out of the shop yesterday. I cleaned up the shop and when I was done, I had 9 bolts, one nut and a clip left over.
I was pretty pleased with all the stuff you have to take apart to get the motor out.
