1978 Z28 paint question

So here is a pic of how our car came with the black stripe on the bottom of the door and rocker panel.
Is this correct?

Yes. My code 48 green/blue matallic had the black on the rockers also. Bought NEW in 78

I'm pretty sure the black paint was only on the rockers and was not on the lower doors

Thanks. Next question. Does anyone have a picture of the decal location on the door / rocker panel? I assume I’ll need a shop manual to get all the information on locations.

I think I have some diagrams that show paint and decal placements but it will be this wknd before I can post them. I will let you know if I cant find them.

Thanks for the help guys. Yet another question. Does the black paint on the rocker continue all the way under and up on the floor or does it stop on the bottom of the rocker and then body color starts?

Sorry to take so long to respond, but I don't go on-line every day. The black on the rocker panel only goes up the inner slanted part inside the door. Above that it is body color. I have included a pic showing this and another showing the original tape striping and how it wraps around the door sill. Hope this is helpful.

Do you still have your 78? Any pics? That sounds like a nice color with the gold stripes.
