My 73 Z/28 Type LT

This is my 73 Z-28 Type LT. I made a new progress thread here so i can combine everything I have done in one thread. When I purchased the car believe it or not it wasnt safe to drive. The dumb%^* dealer I purchased it from didnt disclose much that was wrong with it. I was expecting the interior work but not new tire, carb, tranny leak, misaligned everything, worn hood hinges, scratched side windows, you get the picture. I have poored a lot of sweat and tears not to mention money and a lot of time on nasty z to get her safe for the fam. Added front and rear shoulder belts, new carpet and console, H4 style tri bar headlights, complete rewire of the car, fixed mutliple minor things wrong with her. still getting her "right" but it is fun to drive now. Well here are some pics of her. I am going to replace the entire lower section of the dash soon. This one is warped and the glove box doesnt close correctly. I am also redoing the T/A style dash to look more clean.
********************** EDIT**************** Updated photos to where the car is at now. All old photos are on my photobucket account for anyone that cares :P

I work at NASA out here in houston and had some guys in the parachute shop cut them down some and sew them shorter. They were a little to long. they fixed me right up! Only thing I need to do is get some better buckles.

Very Nice Car

Good Evening:

Very nice car.

Do you live in the Houston area?

73 Z-28, Type LT, correct? Didn't see the LT emblems on the car.

We have a 73 Z-28 that we are slowly restoring.

Is your aftermarket hood steel or fiberglass? I noticed that it's screened. I'm trying to find a steel hood that is screened, but no luck thus far.

Yeah its is a type LT All the emblems have been removed along with the door panels for the type lt by a previous owner. My hood is a goodmark steel hood screened. Was on the car when purchased. My camaro header emblem is gone also!

Im the nicest a-hole you have ever met.
If you made money after restoring a car. you didn't build it rite.
To be the best the only helping hand you need is at the end of your own wrist.

I love it, I love it, I love it.

Excellent color combo.

If it sat a just a tad lower, I would love it even more. (Just a personal preferance, but damn you have a beautful car)
