Question No Power Elec. fuel pump

I put a Holley Blue Elec. fuel pump on my 79 Z28 turned the ignition heard the pump working the fuel came in my clear fuel filter to carb. then lost all power to the car. I just replaced it, I had a Holley Blue already on the car I saw how the red and black wires were connected. I cramped the red wires together like the old one was, grounded the black wire to the pump the way it was. So I tryed to start the car and No power no lights, horn, radio, the engine not trying to start no noise at all when I turn the key can't hear the fuel pump anymore either.

That sounds like bad battery cables or bad battery. Start at the battery with a voltmeter and find out what you have.

Ditch the clear fuel filter. Charge the Battery as Gary said.
