Steering Column Paint

I want to use a rattle can to spray my steering column and am wondering what paint to use. I bought SEM Plastic laquer and clear for the lower plastic dash. Is it okay to use that on metal, is the gloss level correct for the column or should I use semi gloss enamel from a spray can?

Thanks

I think I have read on here that other members have used SEM on their steering column with good results.

SEM will work on plastic and metal with no issues use SEM low luster clear for a factory appearance.

i used the sems from eastwood. black then i clear coated everything metal and steering wheel with a diamond satin finish. it came out mint. i sanded 220 300 and 600. my steering wheel came out so good i cant belive i did it. epoxy system it was cracked bad. i cut deep v grooves filled sanded it. sprayed with a high build primer with catalyst sanded out to 600. very pleased with the sems pruducts. now the hard part to put it back together

I used SEMS landau black on my steering column, and steel portion of the dash. It works/looks very nice.
