Head gasket fittin

I am about to instal new head gaskets but when matched to the heads and old gasket all of the water ports are realy small some even only 1/8 in a 1 inch port should I cut them to fit or is it supposed ti be that way

There's some that have very small porting up at the top of the head. The theory is, helps flow to the back cylinders iirc from getting it splained to me a longdamtime ago. I think there's even some that have little metal orifice plates you can stick in the larger ports if you want. And then you see other gaskets that are large-holers and you go "wtf?". I've used both styles and never really noticed anything, but you have to wonder if it isn't a contributor to some of the overheating issues you read about.

Who's gasket is it? You can take the part # onto summit's website and check application.
