wright or wrong
what do you think a engine timed at 72* would run like???yes i said 72*....if im wright...thats what i set my timming on before i went to the track and did not realize it till this past friday night when jaywill was over at my shop and was asking me the diff in a dial back/non dial back timming lights....as i was telling him this i was remebering how i did mine ...if im wright i f**ked up big time.....and that explains alot on my track times...and car reacting...i dialed in 36*on the light....and pulled up 36*on the balancer....am i right on thinking that is 72* total timming......instead of dialing 36*on light...and 0*...on the balancer like i should have i know i put 36*on dial and pulled 36*on balancer... wouldn't that be 72*wrt or wrng???

You would figure that if you had that much timing in it that the car would be hard to start and would want to run on after you shut it off.

i know a guy with a ford that had his around 70 by accident too....he didn't have the best luck with it....this was a couple runs later with the timing back where it was supposed to be.

That's not that unusual with SBF's, I've seen 3-4 do it at my local track over the last couple of years.

A 10 second street car, eh!
SBC 409, through the mufflers, on DOT radials, you know, like a street car should be.
