'75 Exhaust
I'm looking to put an exhaust system on my '75. Right now it's completely stock. Very quiet but restrictive. I really want to have a true dual system. The cat will of course be omitted. I just can't find any real definitive answers on what exhaust systems will work with this car. Thanks!

these cars have a lot of room under their skirt so pretty much any setup is possible. true duals, x pipe, h pipe, etc
If you are re-doing your exhaust now would be a great time to go with headers if you don't have them already.

Yeah, I'll probably go with a set of shortys. But then, I'm also going to put a cam and a set of heads in, so...

Milkfoot,
What cmonson stated is true!
If you are going to redo the whole system, this is the best time to install headers and do it all!
If you do not have to deal with regular inspection / maintanence programs in your area, you are still flirting with legality by removing the catalytic convertor.
Any aftermarket dual exhaust system for 70-81's will work but may still need some tweeking or fitting-up adjustments for use with stock manifolds. Even with Headers, it is possible that some fitting and adjusting might need to be done but otherwise, you should be able to install them in your garage or driveway.

i used hedman shorty's for the ground clearance, all my buddies camaros with long tube headers always rub or even hit on railroad crossings ect. get the dynomax dual system for the second gen camaro's and then have someone or do it yourself, weld up connector pipes to the headers. i used stainless pipe to go from the 2.5" pipe to the headers.

My long tubes don't rub. I'm just careful and take big dips at an angle.
Here's a link to my set up (I'm going to advertise it as much as I can):

I have always used the jegs/summit mandrel bent 2.25" systems. very inexpensive. You need long tubes though
