SURE!! Both of them can be used as glue!!!!

That said, I have always used good old Permatex, "Indianhead Shellac Gasket Cement".

Glue them to your valve covers so that you can pull them off w/o ripping them up.

Otherwise, glue them to both sides if you aren't going to mess w/ her later!!

The darn stuff is messy, but it works fine, imho....
