Hey circle track guys! Tire softener ???'s
Does anyone know any home recipes for tire softener? I've read a couple different ones but wanted to see if anyone here had any. I'm going to run some "true radial" heads up races this year and need to get these old 275/60's STICKY!

i race dirt tack and we usually sneak in a set or two of treated tires but you've got to watch out for the tech guy and his durometer gauge . okay what we usually will do to our hoosier RC-3's is to completely soak the tread area with a roller or paint brush in WD-40 lubricant oil . get the tread really saturated with the WD-40 then wrap the tires up with saran wrap then place the tires in a garbage bag .when you wrap the tires with saran wrap do it has tightly as you can so no air can get into the tread area and dry the tires . now wait for about a week to 2 weeks then remove them from the garbage bag and saran wrap. you'll have a very gummy/sticky tread that'll knock off a second or so on lap times
