FORD TKO 500/600s

Does anyone know the difference from Ford to GM versions? Is it just the input shaft? Im looking for a used one and it seems the ford versions are all over. Not so much for the GMs....Apparently the ford guys cant appreciate a good tranny...:rolleyes:
