These are pictures of our 496 Big Block Chevy buildup. The heads are Dart Aluminum with stainless steel valves, Dart stud gridle Harland Sharp rockers. The balck disk bolted to the harmonic balancer is part of the crankshaft position detection system for the Fuel injection. It has 36 teeth with two adjacent teeth missing at about 80 degrees before top dead center. A crankshaft position sensor detects the teeth as they pass by, allowing the FI controller to measure engine speed and position.
