Gauging some interest on this car.Heather's 70 is about to get started and either I move this or my truck to free some money up for her toy. (70 Camaro 454 swap)

Here is the info on the 1981 Camaro Z28 convertable.
Location Dunlap TN ---- (Just north of Chattanooga TN)
Condition--- (Drive her home ZERO serious mechanical issues)
Phone ---- 423 321 2408 (not past 8pm CST please)
Title --- 3rd owner clear TN title in hand
Price --- $7500 offers (WIll go to Ebay with a 8500 reserve if no one here grabs her up.
Trade? ---- Only thing I would trade for is a SAME condition 70-81 Trans Am (LOL Heather will kill me but I am a sucker for a good T/A

Overview: I bought being told was a ASC conversion but after some research (called ASC and spoke to the lead salesperson in 1981) he says probably not an ASC car more then likely a National Coach car. National coach I have been told did 5 in 1981 total.

Exterior Very good shape paint is about a 7 can still cruise night it but is closing in on needing paint. (Chips in paint not due to rust though. New Phoenis Graphix decal kit. Tail lights are good nose and bumpers are good. All sheet metal on body is good. Trunk is very nice rear vallance panel is awesome. New Billit grille set installed.

Engine bay. Matching number 350 L code rebuilt with light cam and some light head work. Headers and runs like a top. Very strong no ticks, knocks, leaks or smokes of any kind. Car does not leak anything at all anywhere. Engine and engine bay have been redone and engine bay is high end cruise night / light show worthy. AC is not hooked up BUT included with the car.

Trans and rear end: 700R4 <--- Overdrive is plum awesome and mileage can not be beat from a 350 pulls about 20-25 on the highway. Trans is smooth as can be. Rear end is high 2's or low 3's and is non posi.

Brakes and exhaust --- New pipes new mufflers with headers. Has a good rumble but not too loud by any means. Vintage hot rod 350 sound is the best way to say it. Brakes are very good and need nothing.

Interior: Well the pictures say it all, love it or leave it. Dash pad is NOT cracked front seats are from a ???? No idea but fully recline and are comfortable to take on long drives and nice to recline and watch the night sky in. Panels are goods but custom. Will need rear seat feet pans as some decay in them. Nothing terrible at all though.

Convertable top --- Manual top which will need repaired or replaced. I WILL include all of the material needed for both the top and the rear window section NEW with the car in your color choice. I would lean towards replacing as the top is tacky. I have gotten quotes for $450 --- $900 Labor wise which is less then the cost of say a headliner and t-top trim.

What she needs: Someone put in a 79 dash cluster so would need to go back to 81. Power window on drivers side needs adjusted in. (does not run up and down strong) Needs a radio.

Overall a really good car for the money, very very solid Southern car which looks to be as rare as you'll ever find.

PM me for additional pictures.

Hey man, love the car. Have never seen one. Can you tell me where you found those billet grille inserts?
