I know I want to get rid of my 624's for my daily driver and pop in a new cam while I'm at it but I'm not looking for anything crazy. This seems like a pretty good deal on these heads.

for a bit more... I would go with these.. They are actually canfields and pretty good heads. Plus they will support pretty much anything you might want to do on a street car... For a real response, we need the entire combo you are planning though.

^^^^correct. I'm still in the very initial stages of researching and have an eye out. As of right now I would be replacing my smoggers and whatever cam got stuck in there with something fit for a daily driver with plenty of power. I'll be retaining my stock (I assume stock since the Recon company can't tell me anything about how they built the engine for the previous owners) bottom end, Holley 300-38 and 650 cfm carb and dropping on new heads and a cam. Beyond that I haven't a clue as to specifics yet. I've spent many hours on the search button and will spend many more but I saw this today and that price seems tempting.
Also, as far as budget. I'd love to keep the heads right around $1000 and then pick up the rest from there. Like I said I'm not looking for anything crazy and I figure anything is going to be better than what I've got now.
