I recently got my 86 Chevy pickup running but I had to use a Q-jet carb off of a blazer with a 4-speed. Seeing that this is a 4-speed carb there is no spot to hook up the kickdown cable from my automatic trans. Is it possible to just bolt up the required stud to the throttle linkage or do I need to find a diferent carb?? Any advise or insight would be greatly appreciated.

There's usually no place to bolt it becuase there is no arm hanging down off the bottom where you could bolt on a stud. I swap the whole primary throttle shaft/arm out from an automatic trans car. The throttle arm is swedged onto the primary throttle shaft, by the way, and can't be R&R'ed easily in your garage.
