Thanks to everyone who replied about which motor mounts to use for my big block install. I used the small block mounts and it dropped right in. For those of you who did the same, how does you motor sit in the engine bay ? I was told by the guy at year one that when I install the motor that I have to make sure the carb throat is parallel to the ground. I just looked at the motor and the motor itself looks parallel or maybe just a little up in the front, but my carb is nowhere near parallel. It seems that the manifold is angled down. Does everyone elses motor sit that way who has done this and is it ok ? I dont see how I could use the big block mounts to raise it up becuse I am already having clearance issues with my headers on the floorboards.

Ther motor will be slightly angled (If not I have a problem). It has to to get oil pan clearance, header clearance, and still bolt to the transmission and driveshaft - which is obviously one of the lowest things under the car.
Carry on .

Yes the motor will sit on a little angle, front up but the intake manifold I have has a slop towards the front, works ok with me same install standard small block frame mounts, poly motor mounts, drive line is very straight headers clear the floor.no issues at all

Zeder, Is that an Edelbrock TM2R intake (or scorpion/tarantula) I have the same one.
I didn't realize that it had a factory rake to it, I'll have to take a look.
