Hi there,

I've got a Dart Kool Can manifold coming my way. I've bought it with the idea that it would work pretty fine (torque) with my 355.

I know that when you use nitrous (100hp up), you get better anatomization/flow of the mix when you use a single plane manifold.

Anyone here with some experience on this topic? I'm planning on sprying some 150-175hp on this engine through that intake (it's the same type as the RPM Air-gap).

Thanks, David

It's what you know that makes you go!

You'll be fine. Make sure you have proper fuel volume and pressure and it only gets activated at WFO and above 3000rpm.
If you have smaller jets 100-125 use them first. You might get the power you want and its always better to start slow.

Worst case scenario - you have bosses on the intake....plumb a fogger system on it http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif

I run 150 HP through plain old NOS Super Power Shot systems on dual planes all the time. I've never had a problem at that level. Never ever run lean (KNOW your fuel pressure, don't assume) and don't get greedy with spark advance (pull out about 6* for a 150 shot).

I believe that it is better to be at the top end of the power-producing capaiblity of a small nitrous system than to under-jet a bigger system, as far as distribution and atomization go. No proof of this, but it's always worked for me.
