I'll be the first to admit that I am not real good with the math when it comes to some things with motors and I figured I would just ask. I have a cam that has .528"/.539" lift with 1.5 rockers, what would it be with 1.6? I'm trying to keep things straight when it comes to my clearance for valve to piston. Thanks for any help you can give me.

lobe lift times rocker arm ratio = valve lift

For 1.6 rockers on a cam advertised with 1.5 rockers:
advertised lift times 16 divided by 15 = new lift

lift times 1.0666666667 = new lift

Minus the lash, of course....

1.6 x lift/1.5, I think for a hy-cam.

Solid cam, subtract lash is all from the advertised/gross lift.

Generally using 1.6 rockers on a solid lifter cam will pretty-much bring it back up to it's advertised/gross lift after being lashed...
