ok anyone who keeps up with my posts knows i have a 1993 f-150 4x4 302/auto that is knocking BAD
looking for enignes i found a 460. ok.. how would i 1. get the 460 bolted in the f-150(my guess is use f-250 mounts?) 2. the trans.. can i just get a 460 trans and bolt that to my T-case or will i need an adapter?
if its to hard i will just let my brother mess with it for his mustang..

you will need the big block tranny, motor mount you might have to make them.
you could try the f250, but not sure what's the different in that area during that year.

The autowreakers have an interchange manual (hollander?) that can be very helpful with the engine swaps.
Since the engine is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to a swap, give your brother the 460, take his Mustang engine for your ailing truck engine, and let him deal with all the motor/alt/ps/pulley/trans/exhaust/fuel injection issues. :D
I would venture that you could rebuild your current engine for less than the swap to a 460.

about everyone under the sun makes a 460 conversion kit for mustangs (his is a carbed 85 5.0L)
well ,the 460 comes with.. 2 other 302's that are good.. so i'll just use one of those in my truck. his 302 needs alittle bit.. needs a basic kit(rering lots of blowby) so we'll prolly freshen it and then store it on the stand untill needed someday.
i wanty more power but i guess i can do something wiht nitrous or something of the like.
