on my motor right now i'm running the stock fuel pump to carb fuel line. it's the one that uses a 3/8ths line to a fuel block then two 5/16th lines one to each fuel bowl on a holley 4bbl dp.this fuel line was used on the 70-72 360hp 350 engines.
now because of the metal line to each bowl it's hard to pull the bowls off to change jets ,power valves and such.can i install 5/16th dia. fuel line fittings into the fuel block and bowls and run hose in between.now do they make a 5/16th fuel line fitting or do i have to cut up the fuel line and slip hoses over it

I just undo the line from the bowl, at the bowl.
2 wrenches a 11/16 and 1" (I think) for the nuts. I know its a pain in the ass, but you should be able to get the bowl off.
If you cut the line and put a bit of rubber line over it, you will get a small sliver of rubber someplace you don't want it.

it was a pain in the ass trying to line up all the fittings and stop all the fuel leaks when i put this line on last year.
it was brutal get one line just a little off center then all the others would not seat correctly and fuel spraying everywhere.so your saying if i break the line loose from the bowls then push it away i should be okay !!.you don't think i'll need to loosen it @ the fuel block ??.
i had a feeling when i installed this line last year i'd be taking it apart soon http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/frown.gif.it looks so cool on the motor though gives it that old school look.

Ya, if the double flare on the end of the line is in decent shap it should be OK to be undone and done up many times. I've been using aluminum line that is all held in place and I have to undo the line from the bowl to get the bowls off. It always takes two wrenches, one to hold the big nut in the bowl, and the other to turn the flare nut on the line.

I made my own lines using steel braided, and AN fittings... It's pretty easy that way, to get the bowls off with no problems... I used to have the chrome "splitter" thing on my carb, but those things are junk.
