750/vac secondaries..
Was adjusting the mixture screws yesterday. Ran the passenger side in til it almost cut out and backed it out til it smoothed out.
On the drivers side I ran it in all the way and the motor never stumbled or dies. I ended up just setting it the same # of turns the passenger side was.
Do I have something wrong ? I am by no means carb savy.

Your supposed to do each one a little at a time. You may be doin it all off one side!
go ahead run them both in all the way back out both +/- 2 turns then try again moving each side a little at a time,

The factory setting is usually about 1 and a half turns out. Also when you turn them all the way in don't crank on them just barely bottom them out or you can damage them. Then you can start turning them in a half a turn at a time one side at a time keeping them the same until the engine tries to die then back them back off to the previous setting and that should get you pretty close.Always have them turned in or out the same amount also or you can throw the idle circut off balance.

i say this to you.....get a can of carb cleaner attached the little red hose and spray in all the small air bleed holes on top.....8 or so holes...put the red hose right on them and shoot carb cleaner thru them.....take out the idle mixture screws and shoot inside the holes as well. put them back in set at 1 1/2 turns out and start the car....give it a few minutes to clean up and .....if you want give the carb a nice little spray down and maybe reshoot the air bleed holes again.....make it a direct shot ......just spraying the carb cleaner around doesnt blow anything out of the air bleeds...........idle mixture screws should be set at idle in gear on a fulley warmed up car.....using a vacuum gauge they should be set to the highest reading......
