I'm about to purchase a new air gap rpm intake. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the pros & cons of these finishes. Thanks

View Full Version : Endurashine or permastar finish? Which is the best? spaman 08-23-2007, 03:52:36 PM I'm about to purchase a new air gap rpm intake. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the pros & cons of these finishes. Thanks BlownBigBlock 08-23-2007, 11:03:04 PM I think the finishes are essentially the same, just the appearance is different. The Endurashine has more of a chrome like appearance where the Permastar is more of a black chrome. Coating is very, very thick - you'll see they have to re-machine the intake where the bolts are, thermostat, distributor, carb sit. Any pressure and I'm sure it would crack the coating if they didn't. Pros would definitely be the appearance and durability, but after reading the following, they do have their pitfalls. Going to be ugly if ya ever leak any gas, etc.. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/misc/tech_center/manifold/mainfold_care.pdf |
