This car owner claims 70 Z 28 x race car i like to buy the car ,not sure if it is real Z 28 the drivetrain is long gone ,has 150 speedo 8 grand tach has multi leafs has dual exhaust hangers has disc brakes has front rear badges.I have the CTC engine for the car because I used to own 70 Z 28 hugger car have other parts..

I'm new to all this "decoding" of a VIN number but when I checked all I got was 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Hardtop Sport Coupe.

There is nothing in the LA cowl tag or VIN what will help identify a 70 Z28. You can never be sure unless you can find a build sheet or other documentation for it.
The 8K tach is a good indicator that it is a Z28. The dual exhaust hangers also are a good indicator.
Also, look for the floor mounted gas pedal. Only Z28s had it. The rear bumper should have two small fangs or bumperettes below it, or holes in the body indicating that they were once there. The front suspension snubbers should have aluminum spacers under them to limit suspension travel.

I am looking @ new 70 RS Z 28 project, Do you know of good color's for the 70 camaro ?That would look real good , ?
you have any opinions ...like to maybe stay with OER colors.Or new color.
