i kno this is bs pile
but
i giot a 79 350. queston recently it just started ticking, sounds like a lifter. will this harm my engine right now if i dont fix? cuz quite frankly im still waiting to get parts before i take engine apart.

gotta keep posts where they are supposed to be. a slight lifter tick will probably not hurt anything, if it is a lifter. my daily driver has had a ticking lifter for 20k miles, no problems. Try the yellow bottle of CD4 engine tick stuff, or seafoam as an oil additive, see if the tick clears up

The stock fuel pump is also knowing for making a ticking noise. I would try adjusting the valve lash to make sure you don't have a rocker nut backing off.

its not that, i checked thx for that. nothing on my engine is stock except internals. everything is brand new out of the box. im gonna get some lukust, any cons or pros about the product?

Header gasket leak makes a ticking sound. Might need to re-tighten the header bolts.

If you don't like noisy lifters, adjust your valve lash. You shoulda learned that in Small Block 101.
