ok,
so after letting it sit for a year or two I'm driving my car around again. I replaced the old thermostat for a new 180 degree one maybe 3 months ago. When i'm driving it around (normal street use) the gauge in my instrument cluster (connected to the port in the head) reads around 240 degrees.
I have another water temp gauge (electric autometer) using the port next to the thermostat in the block reads between 180-190 degrees.
is there supposed to be that much difference, i did let all the air out of the system when i replaced the thermostat. going to do it again this weekend just to be sure.
am i seeing ghosts here or something wrong?
thanks,
