Sorry this is not a Camaro question. My nephew has this car and the bearing in the pulley for the AC compressor has locked up the compressor turns and feels normal. On the old A6 compressor like our cars have the bearing can be replaced with special pullers can it be done on this car, and can it be replaced with out disconnecting the hoses. He doesn't have much any money and it would be great if he could avoid pay $240 for a compressor plus refrigerant.

if you have room, yes.
if not it will need to be removed to do the job.

while there,,, replace the front seal, the bad bearing heated it up enough to drasticly reduce its life.

Have fun. Theres not alot of room to work with while doing stuff under the hood of those cars.

Ya newer cars suck, and I especialy don't like working on front wheel drive cars. I have threatened in the past to get out my sawzall and wack out a big chunk out of the fender!
