How long does it take for the valves to stop clattering? I have a small tick on my drivers side that hasn't gone away. Do I have na issue, or should I let it run some more before getting concerned? I've probably ran it for about 1 hour combined.

Also how long should I let it run for a full break in? I can't drive the car yet since my front end is still off.

I am assuming you have hydraulic lifters. If so it should not be clattering. You need to adjust the rockers.

No, that's basically it. You can use a length of vacuum hose as a poor man's stethescope to help pinpoint the area where the clicking is occurring.
