I have a 229v6 motor I am junking most likely.. It blew a head gasket sometime ago by the prev owner.. Pulled a head today, and the cylinders are rusty from sitting how ever long the motor sat like that, plus the cylinders are visually out-of-round.. So it needs to be bored out.. Dont wanna bother..

I put a new water pump on it.. Wanna know if I can use it on my 406.. I know it will fit.. But are they rated differently?? as far as water flow..?? And the fuel pump.. Can I use that too???

the bolt holes on the fuel pump might need to be drilled out.. and the waterpump should work.... i used a 229 V-6 fuel pump on my 350(had to drill out the holes though) and i used the 229 water pump also...

Well that answers the question of using the 406 as a coffee table!
