Can someone post some pics on what the plumming looks like for the fuel tank vapor vacuum system. I am missing the canister up front and all the plumming from the brake booster forward. My garage stinks of fumes everytime I pull in and I'd like to minimize that.

Also, any ideas of where to buy all this stuff. Preferably new, but doesn't have to look original.

Thanks!!

Classic Muscle has them...#1842GM at http://1967-81camarocarparts.com

I'm sure Classic Industries and the others have them as well.

Post away! Some pics would be great. Probably not a surprise to you that I'm also interested in which lines can be plugged?

Here you go. This is the best I could get with all the lines and harnesses under the hood. Mike all I did was the 2 lines on the passenger side I connected with a short piece of fuel line and clamped them. The other one on the drivers side I just put a short piece of line and plugged it. I dont know if this can cause a problem due to negative pressure in the tank but I guess Ill find out. By the way it worked for a 110mph blast down the highway LOL.

Do you mean you connected the two lines together? How many lines are necessary to use going back to the tank? I'm guessing two. Since I need all new lines, 2 would be better to change than 3.

why is there 3 comming off the canister. I use my canister, and have 1 line comming from the front of the q-jet, the 1 line going to the tank.

What is that 3rd line? Mine is an empty spot right now.

thanks guys. I need to replace my tank, so I am going to go with a non-ecc tank anyway. should cut down on some of the fumes i am smelling.

I'm not sure where all the lines go I havent really traced them to where they go.I believe they all go to the rear to that junction above the axle. Mike I just put a short hose between the 2 hard lines exiting the tank on the pass side and plugged the one on the drivers side.

For a EEC tank (RPO NA9 for my '70) the line running back to the fuel tank goes to a device called a separator valve. One line from the canister runs to the carb and the third line runs to the PCV valve tee which then runs to another port off the carburetor. The NA9 RPO included a different carb with an extra port off the front of the carb for emissions vacuum.
