Just curious on what the stock horsepower is. thanks onenasty 73454 10-21-2005, 08:26:00 PM 245 hp from the factory. 295 lb feet torque. pdq67 10-21-2005, 09:00:00 PM It's CR. should be anywhere from 7.9 to 8.5 to 1!! So a set of old closed chambered heads like -601's at 96.7 to 98 cc's and a pair of .020" thick, steel Mr.Gasket shim headgaskets will help a bunch. pdq67 PS., and I figure right at 8 to 1!! theflash 10-22-2005, 12:34:00 AM I went with the closed chamber Edy heads (60499) and wasn't overly impressed (missed my goal by 40hp, see my thread in the HP section, dyno results, incl profile), If I were to do it over I'd bore 60 over, open chamber heads, big dome pistom, solid roller cam. Of course I would have spent abot $1500 more than I did. onenastyz28 10-23-2005, 12:28:00 AM I plan on boring it .60 over and adding all the goodie's to it.I would like to roll out about 500 to 550 horse.Right now I'm running a 355 and it doe's good but I've always wanted a big block and since I finally stumbled on one(got one hell of a deal swappped it for a running 305 even up) I'm gonna build it and see if I wanna stick with it or go back to small block. But for right now I'll go ahead with it and see. |
