View Full Version : mufflers khansen611 06-20-2007, 01:40:27 AM I have flowmater 40s on now and its to loud for me, are there any good flowing quiet mufflers for a duel setup? rgearhead 06-20-2007, 02:48:40 AM welcome to the new club,,,this has been discussed recently im running the full american thunder exhaust sys on mine the pipes are dead nuts on but way to loud for a long cruise,,,, muscl car 06-20-2007, 03:27:26 AM i've heard some people comment on the hooker aero chambers as a good quiet muffler but as the mufflers get some miles on them the fiberglass packing deteriorates and gets louder . i run 3" dia flowmaster delta force 1 chamber race mufflers and don't mind the sound at all and a plus to these mufflers they will not get any louder as they get older due to fiberglass matting in them deteriorating Elfear 06-20-2007, 08:50:24 AM I was running some 40-series Flowmasters and recently switched to some Summit Turbo mufflers (same as Dynomax Super Turbos) with good results. They still have a rumble to them but they aren't obnoxious. GearHead72 06-20-2007, 09:55:26 AM I don't think the Hooker Aero Chambers have any glass packing...I thought they were a chambered muffler as the name implies. I'm kinda thinking about trying these myself. I currently have Dynomax Super Turbos and they are fairly quite at cruising, but definitely get louder when you hammer it. |
