View Full Version : 69 302 Camaro Intake JSB 10-18-2005, 02:47:00 PM How much is this intake worth (ballpark): #3795397. Thanks WildBillyT 10-18-2005, 02:55:00 PM Does it have the Winters foundry mark? What condition is it in? If it is in great shape and is truly original, then it's worth a couple grand (probably around $5000). With carbs and air cleaner, even more. Check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Camaro-Z28-302-Cross-Ram-Manifold-Carburators_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34198QQitemZ4583447094QQrdZ1 I seem to remember a complete setup that went for $14000. My dads had the good 'ol single 780 holley. He said it would in fact out run a crossramed Z28. Kamikaze 10-18-2005, 08:07:00 PM Most single 4-bbl Z's would run better on the street and even some tracks than a cross-ram with 2-4bbls. The cross-rams really shined when on road courses where engine speed could run in the 3500-7800 range. My '69 w/ cross ram will run like crazy from 3200 up and seems to have more available if I would rev the engine beyond 7200 rpm! The single 4-bbl was stock, the cross-ram was an extra charge but not factory installed. They were also available through the parts counters as service parts. pdq67 10-18-2005, 09:34:00 PM He, He!! People need to go over to Team Camaro site and look back a week and read the two 302 threads over there! 450hp/302's..... Suckers get right up AND haul the mail!! Here is a link to one of them!! http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=65769 pdq67 JSB 10-18-2005, 11:12:00 PM The intake I have is just a 4-barrel. Approximate value?? WildBillyT 10-19-2005, 12:12:00 AM Man, is my face red. I was just talking to someone else about a cross ram and got mixed up. Sorry for the confusion. What condition is it in? Gary S 10-19-2005, 12:16:00 AM My sources show that Intake 3795397 is a cast iron intake that was used on 1962 327/340hp engines. That engine would have been mostly used on Corvette, so if you want to try to sell it, you would do best finding out from the Corvette folks what it is worth. 1969 Camaro Z28 used an aluminum intake #3932472 in standard single 4bbl version, and the optional 2-4bbl one should be a two-piece manifold with 3941126 bottom/ 3941130 top. f-body 10-19-2005, 11:09:00 PM i thought you were talking about the dual 4 barrel crossram. I love my SY-1 its an Edelbrock single 4 barrel intake developed by Edelbrock and the late Smokey Yunick in the late 60's. here is a link to another post on it. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/009307.html |
