I've been looking for the right length of pushrod after one of mine bent. I dont want to buy a set of 16. It's a 5/16 diameter steel rod but the length seems to be about 7-7/8 of an inch. I can't find any rod that length from any catalog or shop. Can someone help me?

MOST cam/lifter/pushrod companys will check the length and give you the part number for a replacement.. email whatever company your pushrods are.. and ask... they will want you to send them one you have....

I didnt know they'll do that.
I definetly don't know what company made this pushrod. I'll just email Crane and see what they say. I really need to get back on the road soon.

Pushrods are generally listed by length in decimal format. A stock length pushrod for a flat tappet SBC is 7.80" Probably that's the length you're looking for, or one that is +.10" longer than stock (7.90").
