Check the link that April81Z28 posted above. If your car is a Z28, it will say Z28 on the cowl tag like the link shows.

The cowl tag in on the door right?Well if it is the past owner covered it with paint and it flaked off.Thats why i was seeing if someone could decode my VIN and tell me.

The cowl tag is on the drivers' side, on the panel below the windshield (under the hood).

You can't tell by the VIN alone.
