Can anyone tell me if the shaft on my pro billet # 8365 MSD distributor is .491 or .500? MSD's site was no help and Comp Cams said it was .491 but for whatever reason I thought it was .500. I was hoping to order a gear tonight.

says "oversized shaft" in their listing here,, but not sure if that's just internally in the bearing parts or not. i've honed a few in the rod hone for guys in the past,, to slip fit the .491 to fit a .500 shaft,, or for a slightly tight fit to slip fit. maybe might have to call them to see. sorry,, i can't help other than a site link with phone number.

Chuck, the MSD part number for the gear is 8531, which is the .500 ID gear.
