My third set of #2117 Super Comps came today. The collectors are better, not perfect but better. I can heat my reducers to fit the lead pipes better. I did have to heat and bend the #1 tube to keep it from hitting the cross member.

IMO when you pay this much for any company's headers the quality should be better.

So tomorrow I ship them off to Jet Hot to have them coated.

I feel your pain Chuck..........If they are better than the past ones, that at least is a good thing. Still big bucks. The coating at least will be the bomb. Call me if you want some upside-down mig welding advice, eh??

That's pretty sad when you go have to go through 3 sets of headers and they are still not right. Glad I have my Hedmans, they fit *great* and look good.

I ordered the Hedmann 65104's from jethot with the sterling finish.They arrived at jethot last friday they said they should ship mid this week.I hope I don't have any of these problems.

I think we 3 are sold on the headmans, I think the Hooker/ Mr.Gasket thing is to blame here for his go round with them. When good companys go bad. I want to see them on his car.>>>>>>>>>>

Sorry for you trouble. I have a set of big tube hedmans and they fit great.

I've also had good luck with Hedman, but haven't put a set on the Camaro yet.

I tried the #65104 Hedman's but the ports were too far off for me. I could have helped them with a grinder but not enough. But other wise they sure fit good.

My ETec's 170's have a oval port, 1.5 x1.5 inch. The Hooker's with the 1 3/4 primary tubes match up to both those and the felpro 1404 gaskets real close.

Chuck, man that sucks bigtime. Like some others have said, when a company sells out, more times than not, their quality goes out the window. Hooker is one of the Icons of drag racing, and to see you have to go to such lengths, and still have a problem, is just wrong. I guess I could go on and tout how good my Hookers are, but I won't beat a dead horse. I just want you to know I really hope this ends up on a good, righteous note.
