I tore the oil pan off my engine today, and found no metal shavings, crud or much else. The oil pan had less than 1/16" sludge at the bottom. The old owner said this was rebuilt and has 53K miles on it. Ive driven it less that 700 since. Does this look ok to you all?

I think a picture would tell us as much as you know... In other words there is not much anyone could probaly tell without dissassembly.
Does look like 6 of the 8 rods are there though!

I don't know if you're joking but just from the looks of it I doubt that guy did an oil change during those 53k miles. Atleast pull a main cap off and see what the bearing looks like.

I know that you cant tell much from a picture, but I was hoping I might get some input.
I did 2 oil changes while I had the car. One when i bought it and one maybe 50 miles ago after I pulled the engine.

You need to look at the bearings, its not too hard.

I tore off the #3 main cap, and the bearing and crank looked fine. Also, I looked with a flashlight at the bores, and there are very few if any vertical scratch marks. Anything else to look for?
