Hey all. bought a 77 camaro yesterday. Not original block. Just curious, it has C8A for the suffix code but I can't find it listed anywhere. Anybody know what it originally came out of? Thanks, Pat

I can't find C8A, however, Chevy did use C8B and C8C in 1979, so it is quite likely that C8A was used around the same time and the lists aren't complete.

I found this site and looked for casting date. It is on the pass side though. says L 15 7. Interesting.
