Well I built a mild 9 to 1 350 for my cousin's 84 4X4. Well every thing was great till yesterday when he called me and said it has a rod knock. So I guess the question is to I dare let him drive it to me with it (8-9 hours) or do I go get it with a car trailer? Go ahead and tell me what I most likly already know. I still have no idea why it would have a rod knock this is the 10-12th engine I have built and never had trouble before. I forgot one thing is the cam when flat on break in so maybe that helped cause it.

Rod knock = trailer it or he will be sorry.

Thats what I figured but it will blow my weekend but I guess I am better off then him he will have to drive his moms 98 olds 88 while I fix it. Maybe I can make it just a little hotter while it is apart. Anyone got a fix for cams going flat? It only has "z28" springs and a tiny speedpro. Is a speedpro as good as any other brand never had this problem before. Maybe time to brake out the EOS.
